Best Cheap Date Night Restaurants
The job market’s tough, the economy is lagging, so now you at least have an excuse to be cheap on the first date, right? Whether you’re planning on paying or going Dutch, dinner, drinks and desert can be expensive. So why not select a restaurant that will fit into your budget? There are plenty of places out there. They may not be the classiest locations, but they’ll suffice for a low key date night.
Applebee’s. It’s not very original, but if you aren’t looking to impress your date, then who cares? they have a great selection of cheap drinks, appetizers and entrees. The service isn’t incredible either, but you’ll have plenty of time to chat while waiting for your food to arrive.
Chilis. Again, not exactly original, but it’s like a spicier version of Applebee’s. If you enjoy a Tiny Tex Mex, then hit up Chili’s. You’ll be able to sip on margaritas, much on chips and dip and enjoy some sizzling fajitas.
Perkins. If you’re looking for a restaurant that’s open late, Perkins is the place to be. Most are open 24 hours a day and they serve breakfast all day long. They don’t serve alcohol unfortunately, but that means this is the perfect place to satisfy your drunken munchies.
McDonalds. Alright, I know this is the epitome of cheap, but come on, who doesn’t love the savory taste of a large Mac? Just make sure your date isn’t a vegan or something before you make the suggestion. After you’ve completed your delicious meal, why not head over to your local liquor store and pick up a couple of forties then head back to the bar stools at your place.
Olive Garden. If you’re looking to add a Little class to your cheap date, then head over to the Olive Garden for a Large place of fettuccini or spaghetti and meatballs. You can sip on some merlot and pretend it isn’t a cheap date.
Don’t feel ashamed if you can’t spend loads of cash on your date. You’ve got bills to pay and mouths to feed, so save your money and make the night special with some good conversation instead.
